Shiloh Christian's three-sport All-Stater has signed a national letter of intent with Bismarck State College. Jaden Mitzel will play both baseball and basketball next season for the Mystics. Mitzel was recently named to the All-State 1st Team in football, as he led the Skyhawks to the state quarterfinals the past two seasons. Mitzel was also named to the All-State Football 2nd Team as a junior. Last winter, Mitzel helped lead the Skyhawks to the State Class B Basketball Championship game where they were defeated by Thompson. The 6' 2" forward was named to the Class B All-State 2nd Team, while averaging 18 points and 8 rebounds for the Skyhawks. Mitzel was the Skyhawks' top pitcher last season as the left-hander helped lead them to a 3rd place finish at the State Class B Baseball Tournament. He was named to the Class B All-State 1st Team in baseball last Spring.
BSC basketball coach, Buster Gilliss, stated that the Mystics were thrilled to sign a player the caliber of Jaden Mitzel, a well-decorated athlete. We knew Jaden had many options, school-wise and sport-wise, so we are delighted he chose Bismarck State for his education, while competing in baseball and basketball for the Mystics.
