The Bismarck State College men's cross country team delivered an exceptional performance at the NJCAA Cross Country Championship, surpassing expectations by securing a 7th place finish. Originally ranked 12th in the nation, the Mystic runners demonstrated determination and skill, outperforming their ranking in a highly competitive field that included over 40 teams and more than 300 runners.
Leading the Mystics was Morgon Brindley, who achieved an impressive 7th place finish with a remarkable time of 25:39.1. His outstanding performance set the pace for the team and highlighted his dedication and athletic prowess.
Ivar Martell followed with a strong showing, finishing 43rd with a time of 26:45.1. Peyton Sims and Brody Ferderer crossed the finish line closely together, securing 51st and 53rd places with times of 26:54.0 and 26:56.9, respectively.
Dalton Fleckstein contributed to the team's impressive result by finishing 75th in 27:27.5, while Justin Burud rounded out the team's success, placing 101st with a time of 27:54.7.
The collective effort of the BSC team members, all of whom finished in the top third of participants, underscores the depth of talent and commitment within the squad.
