The Bismarck State College (BSC) women's cross country team delivered an impressive performance at the Marauders Invite, securing a commendable third-place finish. The Mystics showcased their growth on the course, with several athletes achieving personal records (PR).
Leading the charge for BSC was Ava Stafford, who finished 19th, clocking a personal best of 23:34.7. Her determination set the tone for the team's success. Close behind, Lindsey Schroeder crossed the finish line in 23rd place, achieving a PR with a time of 24:10.9. Not far off, Paysha Rex earned a 31st place finish, with a PR time of 25:02.8.
The team's depth was further highlighted by solid performances from Sophia Fafard and Kaitlyn Bancroft. Fafard secured 37th place with a personal record time of 26:01.0, while Bancroft completed the course in 38th place with a PR of 26:54.0, rounding out the Mystics' impressive team effort.
As the season progresses, the Mystics have one more meet scheduled at Dawson Community College on October 24. This meet will serve as a crucial stepping stone as the team prepares to compete at the NJCAA National Cross Country meet on November 9.
