The Bismarck State College Mystics men's track and field team delivered an impressive performance at the NDSU Dakota Alumni Classic this past weekend.
In the 600-meter race, Jack Koppelsleon led the charge for the Mystics, securing a strong second-place finish with a time of 1:22.85. His teammate, Karsten Hagney, also demonstrated great effort, crossing the line in eighth place with a time of 1:26.86.
The 800-meter race saw further success for the Mystics. Layton Knoop claimed second place with a time of 2:00.29, closely followed by Ivar Martell in third place, clocking in at 2:01.99. Djiby Diallo and Harrison Cob also put forth solid performances, finishing fifth and sixth with times of 2:05.21 and 2:05.30, respectively.
In the 1-mile event, Dalton Fleckstein secured third place with a time of 4:37.58. He was closely followed by Michael Pfliger and Kade Warren, who achieved fourth and fifth places with times of 5:01.66 and 5:13.08, respectively.
The Mystics dominated the 3000-meter race, capturing the top three spots. Brody Ferderer emerged victorious with a time of 9:16.44. Peyton Sims took second place with a time of 9:26.00, while Justin Burud completed the sweep by finishing third in 9:44.95.
In the field events, Eli Hallwood represented the Mystics in the Pole Vault, achieving a height of 4.10 meters to secure a ninth-place finish.
The competition concluded with the men's 4x400 meter relay team delivering a solid performance, finishing in fifth place with a time of 3:33.88.
