MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Bismarck State College women's wrestling team competed in their first-ever dual on Saturday morning as they were in Minneapolis to take on the Augsburg University Auggies. Two Mystics won by pinfall and two won by technical fall as BSC took their first-ever dual as a program 25-24, thanks to tiebreaker criteria.

The dual kicked off at 103 pounds as Jennifer Verdin defeated Chelsea Beaver by a 10-0 tech fall. Augusburg forfeited the 110-pound weight class, and BSC forfeited the 117-pound weight class to fast forward the action to 124 pounds.

Rei Ogden (124), no stranger to collegiate wrestling, made her Mystics debut by defeating Amelia Hermanson by a 10-0 tech fall. Alexis Schneider followed her performance with a pin of Fabiola Guerra-Guardado at the 1:44 mark.

The tables turned on the Mystics as Adrain Steidler (138) was pinned at the 1:47 mark by Paige Haaf, and Jessica Waln (145) was defeated by Kelsey Cruz by a 12-2 tech fall.

Arionna Beatty (160) made her Mystics debut in spectacular fashion by pinning Alaina Franco at the 0:39 mark. BSC forfeited both the 180-pound and 207-pound weight classes to see the dual come to a 24-24 tie. The Mystics held the tiebreaker criteria, giving them the 25-24 victory, their first as a program.

The Mystics return home before heading to Great Falls, Mont. for the 'Battle of the Rockies' open hosted by Providence (Mont.) on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 10 a.m. CT.

Their next dual comes at home as they welcome Jamestown (N.D.) to the Armory for the inaugural home dual on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m.
