Women's Wrestling gets ready for first-ever dual

The Mystics head to Minneapolis to make history as BSC's first women's wrestling team

BISMARCK, N.D. - The 2025-26 Mystics Women's Wrestling team is set to make history as they hit the road for their first dual in their inaugural season. 

The team hit the road on Friday morning and is headed to Minneapolis, Minn. to face off against Division III Augsburg University. The 'Auggies' are led by third-year head coach Ali Sprenger, who carries a 3-8 overall record after finishing 2-3 last season. Their lineup for Saturday's dual looks like this:

Three of the seven Mystics wrestlers enter the dual with previous college wrestling experience. Jennifer Verdin is in her second year after competing at Dickinson State in 2024. Arionna Beatty brings two years of experience from Northland Community & Technical College, and Rei Ogden also brings two years from Division-II Sioux Falls. Ogden is looking to be a big contributor to the team's success this season as she carries a 46-23 record from her first two years of collegiate competition.

Saturday's Dual against Augsburg will begin from Si Melby Hall in Minneapolis, Minn., beginning at 11 a.m.

Following the dual, the Mystics come home before heading to Great Falls, Mont., for the 'Battle of the Rockies' open. That open is hosted by Providence (Mont.) and will take place on Saturday, Nov. 8.

After their first open, the team then gets to prepare for their most anticipated dual of the season. The inaugural home dual hosted at the BSC Armory as they take on Jamestown (N.D.) on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m.
