Brady Dutchak

Brady Dutchak begins his second season with the Bismarck State softball team, his first as head coach for the Mystics. 
 
Dutchak is a native of Dickinson, ND. His coaching career began with Dickinson Baseball Club during the summer following his freshman year of college. He continued coaching legion baseball for seven summers. 
 
Dutchak earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management from the University of Minnesota, Morris, and later earned his Master of Science in Sport Management from Minot State University.
 
During his time at the University of Minnesota, Morris, he helped UMM baseball with recruiting, assisted coaching baseball for Morris Area High School, and was an assistant coach for the UMM Cougar softball team. He developed catchers, outfielders, and hitters and helped lead Cougar softball to a third-place UMAC tournament finish and coached five all-conference players.
 
In January 2017, Dutchak joined the coaching staff for the University of Minnesota–Duluth baseball. He worked primarily with catchers, outfielders, and hitters and was also responsible for preparing scouting reports and served as first base coach. Dutchak helped lead the Bulldogs to a third-place finish in the NSIC conference tournament and coached two NSIC all-tournament team players. 
 
In August 2017, Dutchak began his first stint with Bismarck State College as the pitching/catching coach for the Mystics baseball team. During his time with BSC baseball, Dutchak coached numerous players who continued their playing careers at 4-year programs.
 
Following his time at BSC, Dutchak joined the coaching staff at Dickinson State University baseball, where he helped revive the program after a multi-year absence. In their first season back, the Blue Hawks finished third in the conference tournament and had six all-conference players. 
 
Dutchak has also spent time managing Bismarck Gymnastics Academy and as a volunteer coach for the Bismarck Youth Fastpitch Softball Association. He also teaches sport management courses at Bismarck State as an adjunct instructor.
 
He lives in Bismarck with his wife (Brianna) and their four children.
