BISMARCK, N.D. – Monday night's Mon-Dak Conference men's basketball game at Armory had a familiar feel to it, except for the finish.

Anthony Bertucci's fifth 3-pointer of the night with seven seconds left lifted Bismarck State College to a 78-76 win over Miles Community College. Bertucci finished with 17 points to keep the Mystics from blowing a 20-point second-half lead. 

Jaden Hamilton added 16 points and blocked a shot by Blessing Adesipe with less than a second to go to preserve the win. Adesipe led all scorers with 27 points and he went hard to the basket as time ran down only to have his shot blocked. He had one more chance at the buzzer but his long shot drew iron.

BSC (5-8 Mon-Dak, 7-12 overall) led 53-33 with 18 minutes to play. It has given up double-digit leads in the second half several times, and the Pioneers (3-11 Mon-Dak, 4-19 overall) completed their comeback when Denzel Kabasele scored on a drive for a 75-75 lead with 25 seconds to play. Kabasele scored 25 points in the game.

The Mystics called timeout with 16 seconds to play and Bertucci found himself with the top above the key. The Mystics were 10-for-25 from 3-point range. Jayden Bernard had 11 points and Deonte Martinez had 10 for BSC, which plays Dawson Community College on Thursday.
