JAMESTOWN, N.D. – The Men's and Women's cross country teams for the Mystics traveled to Jamestown Friday morning to compete against a packed field at the Jimmie Invitational.
The men's team put together a strong showing to capture sixth place out of the ten-team field. They finished ahead of Frontier foe, Valley City State, and NSIC competitors Jamestown, Northern State (S.D.) and Minot State.

First two across the line for the Mystics, separated by just three seconds, were
Connor Ensign and
Jakson Ensign. They finished in 21st and 22nd, respectively. Behind them, in 61st place was
Djiby Diallo, trailed closely by 64th place finisher Broder Ferderer. Michael Pfilger finished in 74th to round out the point scorers for the Men.
The women's race followed the conclusion of the men's race and there were three Mystics finishers from the six-kilometer course. Crossing the finish line together, but separated by one-tenth of a second, were Brynn and
Macy Crane, who came in 57th and 58th place.
Alexis Ritzman finished soon thereafter, crossing the line to secure 85th place.
The team has a one-week turnaround as they'll be in action next Friday, as they head to Billings for the Yellowjacket/Battlin' Bears Open, co-hosted by Montana State – Billings and Rocky Mountain (Mont.). The women begin racing at 1 p.m. CT following by the men at 1:45 p.m. CT. They'll be racing at Amend Park located at 5101 King Ave E, Billings, MT 59101.
