BSC Meet Preview
The Mystics are looking to capitalize on the momentum they gathered from the last time they raced at Amend Park. At that meet,
Ava Stafford and
Connor Ensign each set new school records in the 6K and 8K, respectively. Ava, Connor and
Jakson Ensign each secured top-10 finishes at the meet, which is crucial as they'll attempt to emulate those finishes in hopes of claiming a spot at the NAIA National Meet.
At the Oct. 10 meet, both the men's and women's teams finished second among the Frontier Conference teams competing, with six teams on the women's side and four on the men's side. At Friday's championship, 11 teams will be racing, as Mayville State is the lone Frontier Conference full member without a cross-country program.
The stakes are higher as the Mystics look to post strong team and individual finishes to solidify their status among their competitors in the Frontier, and earn a spot at the NAIA National Championship during their first year in the association.
