Box Score BISMARCK, N.D. — Montana State University–Northern swept Bismarck State 25–19, 25–10, 30–28 on Saturday afternoon at the BSC Armory.
Bismarck State (2–9, 0–7) found its rhythm in the third, hitting .263 and pushing the frame to extra points before MSU-Northern (7–6, 5–2) closed it out, 30–28.
Chelsa Krom paced the Mystics with 11 kills on .556 hitting, while
Paige McAllister had eight kills and
Dedra Wood added five. Setters
Delaney Deschamp and
Kate Zimmer tallied 16 assists each, and libero
Piper Harris recorded a match-high 18 digs. BSC finished at .139 with three team blocks and one ace.
The visitors were efficient, hitting .333 and finishing with 50 kills to BSC's 37. Macee Selman led Northern with 15 kills on .520 hitting and added five block assists. Kadence Wiggins and Lexi Jones chipped in nine kills apiece, and the Skylights totaled nine team blocks and six aces.
The Mystics will gear up for in-state action next weekend as they hit the road to face Valley City State (4-8, 2-5) on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. They'll head north the following day for a matchup with the Mayville State Comets (3-8, 1-6) on Friday, Sept 26 at 6 p.m.
