RIVER FALLS, Wis. — Bismarck State College's rodeo squads delivered stellar performances over the weekend at the Falcon Frontier Days Rodoe hosted by the University of Wisconsin—River Falls.
On the men's side, the Mystics secured a strong
second-place team finish, thanks to consistent top-tier finishes across roughstock and timed events. Meanwhile, the women's team scored a solid
sixth-place finish at the rodeo.
Individually,
Cael Hilzendeger earned the
men's all-around runner-up title, buoyed by a
first-place victory with partner
Daylon Danks in team roping, and a
third-place showing in tie-down roping.
Kale Hansen, placing
fourth in the men's all-around, added to the team's points tally with top-10 finishes in steer wrestling and tie-down roping.
In the roughstock events,
Elijah Ramos placed
second in bareback riding, while teammate
Trevor Andrews took
third.
Ty Brenna added valuable points with a
fourth-place finish in saddle bronc riding.
The tie-down roping event saw impressive depth from BSC:
Tyler Hansen was
second, Hilzendeger was
third, followed by
Hadly Erickson in
sixth,
Kale Hansen eighth and
Kash Berdahl ninth.
In women's action, Megan Malone raced to
third place in barrel racing, with
Gabi Irving close behind in
seventh.
Chesney Gjermundson rounded out BSC's entries in goat tying, finishing
10th.

This rodeo was the first of six fall rodeos in the NIRA Great Plains division. The Mystic head to their next two rodeos this weekend both in North Platte, NE hosted by Mid-Plains Community College.
