Bismarck State College Mystics Athletics

A native of Russel Manitoba, Dawson Tweet is entering his first season as the Mystics head assistant coach. Tweet works mainly with the Hitters and Infielders. Prior to coaching Tweet played at Mesabi Range where he hit .429 across two seasons. Tweet was an All-Region player both years and during his sophomore year in 2022 was the conference player of the year.

He then transferred to William Jewel at the NCAA division 2 level, where he hit .349 across two seasons with an OPS of .985

Dawson also spent his summers playing in the WCBL for the Moosejaw Millers Express.. His second summer after his junior year Tweet set a record for hits and the leagues hit streak record with 36. In 2023, he was the Canadian Player of Year as well as the leagues Batting Champion.

In 2024, Dawson played semi-professional baseball for the Welland Jackfish of the Intercounty Baseball League. The league features many ex-professional players from the MLB, MiLb, and independent leagues. Tweet was an All-Star second baseman as he contributed to the Jackfish finishing first place in the regular season.
