MILES CITY, Mont. – Bismarck State College rode a 27-point first quarter to a 66-53 Mon-Dak Conference women's basketball win over Miles Community College on Monday.
The Mystics (12-7 Mon-Dak, 15-10 overall) led wire to wire and enjoyed a 27-7 lead after one quarter and never were threatened.
Ashton Kinnebrew led the Mystics in scoring with 19 points. Sydney Gustavsson had a double-double and more with 16 points, 15 rebounds, four assists and two steals. They were the only BSC players in double figures scoring. Piper Harris' three 3-pointers accounted for her nine points.
The Pioneers (8-12 Mon-Dak, 11-18 overall) got 22 points and 10 rebounds from Jessica Tomkins and 11 points from Ella Paleaae-Cook.
The Mystics' next head back to Montana, weather permitting, Thursday to play Dawson Community College.
