BISMARCK, N.D. – Bismarck State College fought its way back from an early deficit, just not far enough back in an 82-70 Mon-Dak Conference men's basketball loss to Dakota College at Bottineau Thursday at the Armory.

The Lumberjacks (11-5 Mon-Dak, 18-7 overall) jumped out to a 14-2 lead and were only threatened only once, right before halftime, before pulling away to a 44-32 halftime lead. Dakota College has beaten the Mystics (7-9 Mon-Dak, 9-13 overall) each of the three times they have met this season.

Max Tschosik celebrated Sophomore Night with 15 points and four assists to lead the Mystics in both categories. Anthony Bertucci add 12 points and Deonte Martinez added 11 points. The Mystics were outrebounded 40-28. BSC was outshot 53 percent to 40 percent. 

Brendan Redhead led Dakota College with 23 points. He had 41 the last time the two teams met in Bismarck in December.

The Mystics close out the home portion of their regular season against United Tribes on Monday. Their last four games are on the road.
