Mystics split with Lake Region

MILES CITY, Mont. – Sydney Gustavsson and Haley Gereau led Bismarck State College to a 12-1 MonDak Conference women's softball win over Lake Region State College Sunday afternoon. The Royals rebounded to earn a split with a 15-3 win in the second game.

Brooklyn Benno scattered five hits and struck out three to win the opener. She got more than enough support from her Mystic teammates, especially Gustavsson and Gereau.

Gereau was 4-for-5 with her homer, a double and a triple, scored twice and drove in four runs. Gustavsson was 3-for-4 with a homer, scored twice and drove in four runs. Gustavsson had two more hits and scored a run and Gereau scored a run in the nightcap. 

BSC plays Dakota College at Bottineau today.
