GLENDIVE, Mont. – Dawson Community College banged out 42 hits in two games to sweep a MonDak Conference women's softball doubleheader from Bismarck State College on Thursday. The Buccaneers won the opener 19-4 and the nightcap 21-2.
Gracie Gunderson was the only Mystic (5-15 MonDak, 7-24 overall) with more than one hit in the doubleheader. The left-fielder had a hit in each game, scored a run in the opener and drove in both BSC runs in the second game. Sidney Amerman blasted a grand slam in the fourth inning for BSC's only runs. Julie Dysart took the loss.
Dominique Baker and Haley Gereau scored runs for BSC in the second game. Baker doubled. Brooklyn Benno was the losing pitcher.
The Mystics are in Wahpeton to play North Dakota State College of Science on April 29. They return home to meet Williston State College in the regular season finale on April 30.
