GREAT FALLS, Mont. – No. 2-ranked Providence proved why it sits atop the national standings Thursday night, hitting .336 as a team to sweep Bismarck State College 3–0 (25–16, 25–16, 25–16) inside the McLaughlin Center.
The Mystics (4–18 overall, 2–15 Frontier) hung tough early and found rhythm late, but the Argos, who pushed their win streak to 23 and are undefeated in conference play (24–1, 17–0), were sharp from start to finish—holding BSC to just .104 hitting and posting their highest efficiency in the final frame.
Dominant Showing for Providence
The Argos displayed balance across their lineup, with six players recording multiple kills. Bella Green led the way with 13 kills on .524 hitting, while Franny Martins added six at a .500 clip. Setter Bella Thompson ran the offense with 40 assists and added three block assists, while libero Kyra Saiers anchored the back row with 15 digs.
Providence's offense grew stronger as the match went on, hitting .237, .333, and .467 across the three sets while limiting errors and maintaining consistent pressure from the service line.
Mystics Battle in Final Set
Bismarck State showed composure late, hitting .258 in the third set behind the steady play of Summer Thomas, who tallied five kills and hit .313 for the match. Reese Duchsherer led the team with six kills and seven digs, while Emerson Carufel chipped in five kills and two block assists.
Setter Delaney Deschamp handed out 20 assists and collected six digs, while Piper Harris paced the defense with 10 digs. Chelsa Krom added three kills, one service ace, and two blocks to round out the BSC effort.
Despite the sweep, the Mystics' third set showed progress offensively and defensively, as the team matched Providence point-for-point early before the Argos closed on a 9–2 run.
