HAVRE, Mont. – (RV) Montana State University–Northern hit .217 as a team and limited Bismarck State College to just .079 in a 3–0 sweep (25–20, 25–18, 25–15) Friday evening in Havre.
The Mystics (4–19 overall, 2–16 Frontier) hung close in the first two sets but couldn't sustain momentum against a balanced Skylight offense that produced 43 kills on 129 swings while out-digging BSC 75–61.
Krom stays hot for Mystics
Junior middle blocker Chelsa Krom continued her efficient play, leading BSC with 13 kills on .414 hitting, committing just one error in 29 attempts. Reese Duchsherer added six kills and 13 digs, while Summer Thomas chipped in four kills and a block assist. Setter Delaney Deschamp directed the attack with 28 assists, nine digs and a solo block, and libero Piper Harris anchored the defense with 12 digs.
As a team, BSC tallied 33 kills, 22 errors and 140 total attacks. The Mystics' best offensive stretch came early, hitting .104 in the opening set before Northern's defense tightened down the stretch.
Skylights' balanced attack
The Skylights (14–9, 12–5 Frontier) were led by Macee Selman, who posted 14 kills on .500 hitting and added 17 assists for a double-double. Lexa Stock contributed seven kills and five block assists, while Emily Bird and Lexi Jones each tallied seven kills. Northern also totaled four aces and 12 team blocks to control play at the net throughout.
