BISMARCK, N.D. – Bismarck State track and field turned in a strong, record-setting performance at the UMary Winter Classic, highlighted by multiple event wins, personal records and new NAIA marks across the sprints, hurdles, jumps and relays. It was their most competitive meet of the season, with nine schools competing on both sides, as the women placed third and the men placed sixth.

On the track, the Mystics were led by Priviledge Bower, who captured the women's 60 meters in 7.58 seconds, a mark that ranks No. 10 in the NAIA. Bower also added a fourth-place finish in the 200 meters to contribute additional points. On the men's side, Nicholas Pegors placed third in the 60 meters with a personal-best 6.97 seconds, while Timol Walters finished runner-up in the 400 meters with a PR time of 50.42.
BSC saw continued success in the hurdles as Jace Lovely placed fourth in the men's 60-meter hurdles after qualifying for the final with a PR that ranks inside the NAIA top 40. Dedra Wood followed with a fourth-place finish in the women's 60-meter hurdles, adding to a busy day that included a podium performance in the triple jump.
In the field events, the Mystics delivered some of their biggest highlights. Kennedy Harter won the women's triple jump with a leap of 11.51 meters, setting a new NAIA No. 14 mark, while teammates Alexia Anderson and Dedra Wood finished second and third, both posting NAIA-ranked performances. Mercedes Lura added points in the women's pole vault with a personal-best clearance of 3.15 meters, ranking No. 46 nationally.
Bismarck State also picked up key points in the middle distances, led by Tsitsi Karanda, who placed third in the women's 600 meters with a PR of 1:35.88. On the men's side, Harrison Cobb, Jekori Dahlen and Kade Warren all scored in the 600 meters.
The Mystics closed the meet with strong relay performances, highlighted by a first-place finish in the men's 4x800 relay and a second-place finish in the women's 4x800 relay, capping a productive day across the board.
