GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Bismarck State indoor track & field continued its season Saturday as they were on the road for the first time as they traveled to Grand Forks to compete at the UND Open. The meet, hosted by NCAA Division-I North Dakota and featuring high-level competition, was highlighted by national marks, personal records, and a first-place finish from sophomore sprinter Cayden Kraft.
Kraft led the way for the Mystics men, winning the 400 meters in 47.72 seconds, a season best that ranks No. 4 in the NAIA. He also added a PR in the 200 meters (21.88), moving into the national top 50.
On the women's side, Priviledge Bower continued her breakout season, clocking 7.52 in the 60 meters to place third and move to No. 6 in the NAIA, another personal best and national qualifier-level mark.
The Mystics piled up improvements across the board. Daniel Oduse (7.09) and Austin Privratsky (7.42) each posted personal bests in the men's 60 prelims, while freshmen Logan Larson and Katelynn Folvag added PRs in the sprints.
BSC's hurdlers also impressed. Jace Lovely qualified for finals with an 8.37 PR in the 60 hurdles — a time that ranks among the NAIA top 40 — and teammate Nicholas Pegors followed with an 8.25 finals finish to place fourth.
Distance events provided more momentum. Harrison Cobb placed fourth in the 1,000 meters (2:50.76), while freshmen Jakson and Connor Ensign went 3-4 in the 3,000 with national top-85 times.
In the field, Alexia Anderson (5.56m) and Kennedy Harter (5.34m) both cracked NAIA top-65 marks in the long jump, then returned to place fourth and fifth in the triple jump. Jasmine Nash added a PR in the weight throw, while multiple Mystics throwers recorded season bests in discus and shot put.
